Moving Web/Blog to Google Sites

As part of our involvement in Cloud Computing and specially while providing solutions around Google Apps for Business (GApps), it seems to be a natural transition moving our Web site and Blog to Google Sites.
And here we are, still moving but going live as this post is being written (hopefully)... (*)
We used to have a Web/Blog supported by Wordpress (what a great Open Source tool) and moving to Google Sites is bringing a combination of gains and losses as usually.
What we get (gains)? fully integration with GApps, simplicity, what a host, easy customization / templates (if counting with a graphic designer of course), powerful back-end (using gadgets, scripts, etc)...
What we would miss (losses)? even though we are still working on... so far we haven't been able to reproduce in a simple fashion some features like: public comments, social sharing buttons per page, alt/title for img tags and... that's it?

(*) we will keep updating this post as we move on this path, but we cannot wait any longer for this going public.
